Dr. Paul Bertram provides comprehensive eye care at Simpson Optical, caring for patients with a wide range of vision and eye health needs. With more than two decades of experience in optometry, he brings a broad clinical background and a patient-centered approach to each examination.
A Central Kentucky native with roots in Nicholasville and Lexington, Dr. Bertram earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then attended Indiana University in Bloomington, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003.
Prior to joining Simpson Optical, Dr. Bertram practiced in Georgetown, Kentucky, providing vision and medical eye care. He also previously worked in private practice, where he gained experience caring for patients across a broad range of ages and eye-care needs.
Dr. Bertram’s clinical interests include comprehensive eye care, the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, and contact lenses. He enjoys developing long-term relationships with his patients and helping them maintain clear vision and healthy eyes throughout every stage of life.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bertram enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys playing tennis, table tennis, and board games with family and friends.
